Help - numpty in need! - Badwolf
Hello all,

I have converted some songs in my iTunes library to MP3 format and now want to put them on a memory stick so that I can play them in my car.

When I click on the "Export" option I am presented with three options for saving the files - Text, XML or 3MU files. Which of these should I select so that the files will save correctly onto the memory stick?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure which software you are using, but a simple copy should suffice, i.e. no need to use "export", from where they are to the memory stick. If you are trying to use the iTunes software, of which I have no experience, it may be confusing the issue. Use Windows Explorer to do the copy.

Cheers Mike, that's worked a treat :-)

(Think you can also Copy from iTunes - select them in there, then drop them onto your memory stick in Explorer)

Looks like the 'export' function is actually saving a playlist (i.e. a list of songs) rather than any music files.

I ended up finding the mp3 files in Windows Explorer, highlighting the ones I wanted and then dragging them onto the memory stick.

What a faff! :-)
