I need to send a long text quite urgently, but the recipient doesn't own a computer. For ease I have typed it in an e-mail and sent it to my phone in the belief that I could copy the message body and insert it in a text. It seems I can't or am I missing a trick. Help please. Does your network have an online SMS-sending facility? I try to send my texts using the O2 online text sending utility because as well as being easier to type they're free there, whereas they're not if I use my PAYG phone. On my HTC Desire if I 'long press' and then drag across the text (in Gmail) and then tap the highlighted area it copies the text to the clipboard. This can then be pasted into my SMS app by long pressing in the message body. This may be HTC specific but I'm surprised if Motorola doesnt do the same. Reply to this message | Report message

Since you have typed it via email, it is in your Sent Item folder. Copy it from there [using computer] Go to your phone network's website. They are very likely to have an option of sending texts from web (I use O2 and it has that option). Just paste your stuffs. It will automatically broke into multiple messages.
