Itchy wallet fingers again, I see this is below £100 (with rebate), just add disks, memory and OS (maybe graphics too).

Not much recent Linux experience, but I think I could pick up enough to get by.

Mainly I see it running Plex and using it as a NAS for all backups and media streaming.

But I already have a dual bay NAS.

Talk me out of spending... or tell my why this would be better than the NAS.

Move on - nothing you need.

Existing NAS can probably do most/all this server can do. Not that I remember what NAS you have.

LOL NAS is a dual bay Thecus N2200Plus www.thecus.com/product.php?PROD_ID=43, I have 2 x 3Tb drives in JBOD config. it's not a bad unit, there are better out there now but seem to be very expensive for a decent one.

I suppose when you tot yup the cost of the little extras for the server it's no longer anywhere near £100.

There is no reason on earth to buy this.

Its not even heavy enough to make a doorstop.
