iPhone Software Update 7.1.2 - Duncan
A little message on my phone to suggest a software update is available.

I've just successfully loaded it onto an i-Pad (4, Retina Display?). So far, I haven't noticed any difference. My wife is just downloading it onto her i-Pad mini (latest one, whatever that is) so, fingers crossed!

Seems OK. Didn't even need to recycle it to get the wifi working.

At last. Best news I've had for weeks.

My 4S *hated* 7.1.1 - it took me a week to get it working after upgrading, including a visit to the Genius desk. And since then it's needed rebooting every two or three hours. Apple said 'it's possibly your data on the phone that's clashing with the software.' I've been seriously thinking about getting an early upgrade to a new phone.

7.1.2, and everything is back to normal; it works properly!!!

N.B. When doing the update, do a hard reset first. It's supposed to solve the problem that the phone looks as though it's hung up about a third of the way through the update - if yours does hang up, then do a hard reset after it's clearly come to a halt.
