 Swapping Forward/Back buttons on mouse. - The Nut
Anyone know how to do this in windows 7? The mouse has no drivers available, just uses windows built in ones.

Is this possible without having a program loading at startup, some setting somewhere maybe or a registry hack?

I can change settings by right clicking on the Logitech mouse icon in the Notification Tray, but you can also use Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Devices and Printers>Mouse.>tick Switch Primary and Secondary buttons box.

The Nut... it would help to know which mouse. Might be possible via Control Panel without any software. Have you tried?

Control panel only lets me swap the left and right buttons, what I am trying to do is swap the thumb buttons on the side.
