 Where's my computer's clipboard? - L'escargot
Ignoramus's question! I inadvertently saved something to my clipboard and I'd like to delete it. Where's my clipboard and what does it do?

do you never cut and paste? the clipboard is the temporary storage area between the cut and paste operation.

You don't need to delete the clipboard data, its temporary and disappears when you turn the computer off.

It'll be deleted when you switch off your PC, or will be overwritten with something else when you next use the copy or cut command.

Or I could tell you in my version of Word (2007/Vista) if you open Word on the home tab to the left there is a clipboard button. Clicking on this will open the contents of the clipboard as a list of max 24 items. You can clear this list if you wish mid session.
