SWMBO has upgraded to IE9 and now can't get on with it, particularly the bookmarks. How can she revert to IE8?

I just asked google and got:

tinyurl.com/4xgc3al - links to windows.microsoft.com

I tried it and didn't like the bookmarks either and reverted back to IE8.

I also used the link VXfan has provided and found it simple and easy to do.

Can you not have the "old" style "favorites/bookmarks" by

1. right clifk on a blank area at the top of the screen next to the adress bar
2. select "menu bar"
3. access your "favorites/bookmarks" from there.

Yes you can, but they're still on the right hand side of the screen and not the left where I like them.

I just tries, and they appear on the left, just under the "favorites" button on the Menu bar.

If I click on the "organise favorites", a new box/window opens which can be dragged/placed anywhere you want.

I shall be driving in Europe next Satuday Z, quite confidently as usual.

I agree the favourites can be nmoved but it has to be moved every time IE9 is opened because it returns to it's original spot when it's closed.

When they sort that out, I, like a lot of others, will be happy to use it.

The you can cope with your favourites moving from one side to the other.

I can Z, but as I'm the end user and have a choice, I choose not to.

Seems to be an issue with your PC.

It stays where it is/was, always, on my PC - on the top left of the screen just under the "favorites" tab/button of the menu bar.
