"The vehicle, believed to be a hire car, was submerged after it was parked on a slipway in Mumbles, Swansea on Monday.
Crews had hoped to recover the silver 61-plate car in the early hours of Tuesday at low tide but could not, and it has disappeared.
Swansea Coastguard say it could be anywhere in the channel."
I hope the driver wasn't Hertz ...
It's a very cavalier thing to do ...
Imagine the insurance form, collided with Queen Mary 2 somewhere south of Lundy ...
Probably having a race somewhere with a motor pike and side carp.
Come on.

I wonder if it was left there on porpoise ...
The driver was probably heading for Whales ...

Hope he signed the collision damage waver.
As he waved goodbye to it amongst the waves ?
Was it insured any diver?
Did the driver loch it?

Ferry good.
Something very fishy about this.
It should have been parked hire up the slipway.
What was the driver's name ? Bob ?
>>What was the driver's name ? Bob ?>>
No, Albert Ross, he parked in the wrong plaice ...
Once the tide got over the vents the water would soon fillet.

This happened because the driver thought he had hired a Manta.
Or a Mako Shark, or Plymouth Barracuda...

I thought Vauxhall had solved their rust problem years ago?

Its not there any moor. Did it have a mp3 dock so he could play his wav files?

Very "Sub"standard puns, I'll bow out without a stern warning.
I've done a few submerged cars stories.
They are often found floating in a nose-down aspect, as if the weight of the engine isn't quite enough to drag the car under.
Some reason to be cheerful today then. One Corsa down and only 1,129,227 left to go.
Maybe this could be the start of something big, like a Boston Tea Party for Corsas. Come on folks, come and dump your Corsa in the sea and make the (motoring) world a better place...
The silver 61-plate Corsa was later recovered from the nearby beach.
And it started first turn of the key another credit to Vauxhall.
And it started first turn of the quay .... boom boom
You'd expect the engine to be flooded though.
If the hire company had fitted winter tyres the car wouldn't have fallen off the slipway.
They only meant to dip the headlights.
I've read through the thread, no-one else has done that one.

Never mind coat get your life-jacket !
Do you think it was found by a corsa fisherman?

It was on Cruise control.....
Have the insurers wade up the cost yet?
it`ll be clean! - it`s been washed intide and out!
It was only used to Canute
The driver got confused - his wife said she wanted to sit on the beach in Corsacar.

Short journeys are not very good for a car.
The coastguard said it could be anywhere in the Channel.
I bet some shark will do it up and put it back on the road.
