I hope you're right Zero. Changes have been made ostensibly to enforce 'closer competition', these special knackered after a trip to the shops and back tyres all made by the same manufacturer for example.
It's too late to want it back, but I really preferred F1 when there were real differences between the cars and teams could choose their own tyres and so on. Freer and less artificial. Of course that made it more likely that the richer teams might walk away into the distance even more than they do now.
That was a good race though, and the season is looking good so far. Just as well because I got up 3 hours early to watch it. I don't like the Sky coverage as much as the BBC's and its very existence is a bit of a nuisance to me, because I can only get Sky in a communal large room. When there are a lot of people here it's anti-social to watch F1 when everyone else is not interested and having lunch.
