 Insurance premium plus VED - L'escargot
I've just realised that (for me, at least) one way to compare cars of a different generation is to add VED to the insurance premium. I'm pleased to have found out that on that basis I could get more power from a 2012 1.6 litre turbo-charged petrol cheaper than I currently get from my 2003 2 litre petrol, and have a better fuel consumption to boot.
