Could be a boon to the older motorist who cannot refocus from distance to satnav quickly? particularly in poor light conditions. Next thing is people who can only see as far as the front of the bonnet using it to know when/where to turn:)

I was looking at that one this morning funnily enough, as my generation of Prius is the one before HUD was standard, and if I were to replace it today I'd be buying the later version where useful HUD has been taken away again. Came and went, it did.

But that gadget looks as though it needs telling where you want to go (of course), but doesn't offer a recalculate if you go off route. You'd have to pull over and re-programme it. That seems unappealing, to be honest.

I have used a HUD app on the iPhone already, plenty around. All but useless during the day, almost completely invisible.

Handy for the front on speed cameras too, helps the Police verify what speed you were doing :-)
