I left the interior light on for 8 days, and of course now the batteries are completely flat.
There's 2 batteries, and the easily visible one shows white in the sight glass (knackered). I've tried charging for a few hours with an old regular charger, but so far they haven't held any charge beyond illuminating the interior/dash lights for a few seconds. The ancient charger also cuts out its internal fuse every few minute.
I can't jump start it as it's 24 volt starting, so will never go on a 12 volt jump.
Question is, is it worth trying to charge with a fancy charger (it will need to be a large one as the combined capacity is around 190Ah), or just replace both batteries. They're about 6 years old.
