Ok

You can roll back fixes, but that often won't fix the existing damage its caused

If you really want to resolve this, its back to basics, reinstall windows and this time disable auto updates by one of the various means (policy editing, dicking with the registry etc) and then research each fx as it comes along before applying.

Long winded, I know. you may not BA unless its really bugging you.
