The XJR was a dream. In fact it was my dream car. The 4 litre straight 6 with the supercharger.
I saw JC drive one on TG when they first came out. Aquamarine metallic blue, ivory leather, auto box. 10 years later that is exactly what I bought.
I am lucky to have owned my dream car and, with being in Germany often, also take it to the limited 155mph on a number of occasions.
The XJ diesel is a very different beast. However, with age, I welcome the change to around 38mpg from the XJRs 22-ish mpg. Still miss that XJR though :-))!
