Italy: Lamborghini Huracan sports car given to police

The police force already has several previous-generation Lamborghini Gallardo cars
Lamborghini has donated a specially made edition one of its latest Huracan LP 610-4 sports cars to Italy's State Police.
The new "super-cop-car" will replace two previous-generation Lamborghini Gallardo cars already in service with the force, the Italian news agency ANSA reports, external. Boasting a top speed of 325km/h (202mph), the car has been specially modified for police use. It's equipped with technology designed to "immediately document evidence of any transgression", including a video camera that tracks and films vehicles being pursued, according to a press release, external.
The German-owned Italian carmaker has previously donated top-of-the range sports cars to the state police. Taking delivery of the new Huracan at a ceremony in Rome, State Police head Alessandro Pansa says it will be used to "enhance street security" and crime prevention. "This Lamborghini represents Italy and the quality of its people," Pansa says, "The same we find in both men and women who wear the uniform of the State Police."
The Huracan - Lamborghini's successor to its top-selling Gallardo - was unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in March.
