A 64-year-old man has died after a fight over parking at an Asda store.

He got into an argument with another man in the supermarket's disabled parking area in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, at about 15:00 BST on Saturday, police said.

The man, from Sandy, was knocked to the ground and taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, with head injuries. He died on Sunday afternoon.

A 65-year-old man arrested on suspicion of manslaughter has been bailed.

Det Ch Insp Tim Redfearn said: "Both men were waiting in the disabled parking area and got into a disagreement about parking.

"We are now treating this man's death as manslaughter.

"I know the car park would have been very busy on a Saturday afternoon, so if you were there please contact the police in confidence."

A spokesman for Bedfordshire Police said the man had been released on bail until 19 August.
