'YOUR CAR COULD HELP SAVE A LIFE!'
Unwanted Vehicle Collection have now been supplying scrapped cars to Surrey Fire and Rescue Service for over 5 years. Firefighters are appealing for old scrap cars to help them practice rescuing people from road traffic accidents. Fire & rescue services attend hundreds of road traffic accidents every year. One of the ways in which you can help is by donating your unwanted scrap car or vehicle to the whole of the Surrey Fire Service for training purposes. These cars are used in local fire stations and for for new recruits at the Surrey Fire and Rescue Services head office in Reigate.
The Fire Service use the scrap vehicles to keep up to date with new and existing training methods so that when they attend a road traffic accident they can be dealt with effectively. New recruits are being trained all the time using the latest cutting gear and new cutting techniques. Vehicles including scraped cars, vans and motorcycles are in constant demand.
Your donated cars can be used for public fire service demonstrations such as Airshows.. Wings and Wheels Dunsfold.. and local fetes etc...
They can also be used for the Fire service Road User Awareness Days (RUAD) at local schools in Surrey and surrounding areas to raise awareness in school age children to the dangers on the roads etc..
A certificate of destruction is always supplied to anyone who donates a vehicle so they have peace of mind that the car is no longer being used.
