Great product sold by an useless retailer

My wife purchased 2 pairs of Hawke Endurance binoculars on 1/12/21 for Christmas presents. On opening one pair was found to be faulty. Fotosense were contacted with their returns times and advertised opening hours. After 10 phone calls , all dropped after a fixed number of rings and e-mails resulting in “tickets” offering a reply within two working days as of today I am still waiting to hear from the company. I have now made contact with Hawke direct and had the problem resolved in two days. Great product, WRONG RETAILER? Nil service, take your money and don’t care thereafter. Could have become regular customer for film as I live locally to Preston, not now…DO NOT USE. Nearly a year later I am now being asked to review my comment. Well nothing has changed. I still have not heard directly from the company and as for checking my spam folder…laughable.

I have looked into your complaint and I can see the email you sent us and I can confirm we emailed you back within a hour and to advise to check your spam folder. Our buisness is closed over New year is which is when you contacted us.

Avoid avoid avoid!

Avoid avoid avoid. Non existent customer service. Tried contacting both via website form and email. Automatic response but zero follow up. They don't answer the phone and there is no capacity to leave a voicemail. Tried initiating a return but they don't send an RMA number making returns impossible. Just appalling.

Good Afternoon Brian, I have looked into your complaint and I can see that you contacted us by email, we are closed over the weekends, I can see we emailed you back several times but you failed to respond.
During the time of your complaint we had only 1 member of staff in the building doing sales, shop and the warehouse due to COVID so I am sorry your phone call never got answered if you rang between our opening times.

Dont waste your time and stress yourself

terrible communication, wrong descriptions, simply just don't waste your time, Terrible service. I am writing to trading standards. as they didn't pay my return postage.
If you are after photographic equipment there are plenty of fantastic places to deal with

UPDATE:
They asked me to amend or remove this review to give a part of my return postage fees. I refused. Normally acording the regulations if a customer return a product if not 100% functional as described, return postage should be paid by the seller. (at least a part or the cheapest option)

Fraudsters

Company advertise stock on their website, accepts your order, take your money (including Next Day delivery charges!!) then when the order doesn't arrive and you chase them they respond saying they don't have it in stock. This is a breach of trading laws in the UK (Taking funds without being able to fulfil the order). They also didn't understand plain english in my email and responded to it as if they hadn't even bothered to read it. Totally disgusting. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I should have read the other comments before I ordered. Delivery is incomplete without any explanation, all items were listed as "in stock" before. They do not reply to Emails, they just do not care after your order.
I am quite sure many positive comments are made by photosense (that is the reason they have no time to reply to customers emails...)

i give this company 1 star. service bad

odered twin softbox £322.95 28th Dec, had email that the order was accepted delivery would be in 3 working days due to road condition, we also paid for next day delivery, 4th Jan had email to say its been dispached and will be with us within 3 days ummmm still waiting, tryed to phone then all it says please go to help and then the phone goes dead, ive been phoning for the past few days as i was going to order something else but after this i dont think i will be buying from these people again . def no no, kat

order tuesday and no item and it's friday, now stuck

Ordered two sets of fujifilm polaroid on tuesday for first class delivery it is now friday and haven't received them. Order these for a wedding I am shooting tomorrow and now have no film for there DIY Photo Booth. So will now waste my afternoon frantically looking for some more. They blamed royal mail for the mistake but didn't take any fault in the matter. Won't be using again 0 stars

Advertised items they didn't have in stock - avoid.

I ordered two Panasonic memory cards at a competitive price. Both were in stock and both on a 2-5 day delivery. Day seven and my order status still says processing. I am glad I paid using PayPal as I think I will end up having to claim a refund.
After contacting Fotosense they advised they have experienced an unexpacted delay. The reality is they advertised items they didn't have in stock. At least I have been issued a refund.
I recommend you avoid Fotosense

NEVER AGAIN

Placed an order for item in stock, paid, waited - 2 weeks later still waiting. Phoned numerous times for update - different excuse every time, put on hold then cut-off 3 times. Assured item was despatched, asked for tracking reference - "our system has crashed, please phone later" - tried, put on hold cut-off again. Received e-mail telling me order not despatched as no stock till December 18. Cancelled order. Obtained item elsewhere - more expensive but it arrived when expected. I wonder how much profit can be accrued by accepting lots of payments, letting interest build up for a couple of weeks, then paying back the original? If you want good reliable information and service use somebody else.

V quick delivery, cheapest for non import model. Would recommend.

Ordered a camera, 2 lenses and SD card late afternoon on the Monday, was delivered Wednesday morning (less than 42hrs after placing order). Had my doubts when reading reviews as the price was also the cheapest around (for uk models not grey imports). The camera (Panasonic G2 is also great)

Very pleasantly surprised, would definitely use fotosense again. Couldn't have asked for any better.

A warning.

After ordering item which turned out to be not suitable and promptly returned then ordering item which was supposed to be in stock? ..but after a number of emails was told it was was not!. Payment taken for both items. Ten days later still waiting for refunds! despite being told refunds have been made. Communications are only via email etc telephone not answered. Very poor service. Thankfully used credit card so will be contacting my card provider.

I ordered a Lowepro Pro Tactic BP450…

I ordered a Lowepro Pro Tactic BP450 AWII Rucksack camera bag on Saturday morning, it arrived at Tuesday lunchtime.... Fantastic service... I would recommend Fotosense at 5 stars... After contacting Holly afterwards, I thanked her for the good service... It's easy to moan, but it's just as easy to compliment a great service - Thank you Fotosense... I hope to use you again.

Confirm, bad service

First - yes, they never answer any emails.

Second - They sell bundles (2 items together), which are mores expensive then the individual prices of both products. How strange is that. Yes, check back! Normaly you just buy the bundley because it obviously should be cheaper....

I guess if there is no problem, then the shop is great. But which one isn't?

Dishonest traders

Suffered the same experience as many other reviewers. Visited the unit on 10/12/09 to buy a camcorder which was advertised as 'in stock' on the website. Told that there would be a delivery in four days and ordered and paid up front as I was assured of an early pre-Xmas delivery. Despite phone calls, emails, fax etc goods were never sent and to date my credit card has not been refunded, and have had to task Visa with recovery. This company is completely dishonest and should be investigated by Trading Standards.

customer service

Ordered an item listed as in stock. After six days emailed an enquiry, never received a reply. After ten days, still having had no communication other than the initial order confirmation, checked again and found the items to be listed as "out of stock, on backorder".

They'll take orders, they'll take your money, but they won't deliver

They accepted order and took payment for a Peak Design Messenger bag on 25th November. It showed on their site as In Stock. I didn't hear anything else from them so I contacted them a week later. They apologised profusely and said they'd sent it out immediately and email me a tracking number. They didn't. I phoned the next day and they said they had no stock and wouldn't have any for 10 days. Their site still says "In Stock: Usually Ships 1 Day. I'm still waiting for a refund.

Poor Delivery & Customer service

Ordered a little order of a Interfit STR114 a week ago and still not delivered. phoned fotosence this afternoon to be told every excuse under the sun and will just have to wait. If you need something in a hurry your better off using warehouse express as they have quicker delivery and better customer services

Possible Fraud

Threy advertise items as being in stock when they are not. They debited my credit card account even though they knew that they were unable to supply the goods ordered. Despite numerous attempts to get a response from them, they have not replied. I have now to notify my credit card company of a pssible fraud and inform trading standards of my experiences with this business

Vanguard Alta Sky 45D Backpack

Excellent across the board. Service and bag quality were fantastic. The seller even allowed me to amend my original purchase which I'd selected in error, with no fuss and kind professionalism. I used my bag for cameras, though the design would suit much more, including drones etc. I recommend this seller, they were quick, kind, and professional.

They did me proud.

Browsing their site I found a holster bag that I needed. This particular bag was on back order, not requiring to use it before mid June I went ahead and placed an order. Within a few days an email saying it was posted was received, next day it arrived. Well done Fotosense, second purchase and no problems, I will be back for a third.
