This included the fitment of double forward cabin doors on the port side to increase the loading access area.

Delivered back to Aer Lingus at Collinstown Airport, Dublin, Ireland and used on their freight services.
It was still able to operate as a passenger aircraft if required.

Damaged beyond repair

Damaged beyond repair in an inadvertant wheels up landing at Belfast International Airport, Aldergrove, Northern Ireland during a training flight. No injuries to the crew.
All four propellers were curled around the engine nacelles resulting in shockload damage to the four Rolls-Royce Dart engines.

Noted stored back on its undercarriage awaiting an insurance assessment of the damage.
May 1996
Registration cancelled as aircraft written off (beyond economic repair).
Total time 37,591 hours and 32,696 total landings.
Broken up for scrap after spares recovery.
