Among those balloting for strikes:

Thousands of NHS workers in Scotland have voted in favour of striking - covering NHS staff from four of Scotland's unions.

Nurses will start voting on strike action on 15 September, with the ballot lasting for four weeks.

The Communication Workers' Union says it is preparing a ballot for members across Capita O2 and Tesco Mobile partnerships.

Members of Unite union at Stansted airport are considering strike action in a ballot closing 19 September. The action would include security officers, cleaners, firefighters, maintenance staff and airport ambassadors.
