You’ve been framed! Motorist is spotted driving with a GREENHOUSE strapped to the roof rack

  • Ford Fiesta trundled down the road with the greenhouse perched on top of it
  • There was no glass in the greenhouse, which stuck out over the side of the car
  • The Ford Fiesta driver seemed to take great care as they drove down the road

This is the bizarre moment a Ford Fiesta was driven down a road with a greenhouse precariously perched on its roof.

The greenhouse is at least twice as high as the car and sticks out on either side by around a foot.

The glass appears to have been removed but the driver still has to take the load at a sedate pace on the road in Rochdale, Greater Manchester.

The strange sight was filmed by Darcy Maher, from nearby Bury, who uploaded the clip to Facebook

In the video, the Ford can be seen driving down the A58 in Rochdale, with the greenhouse secured to its roof.

The Fiesta appears to be going a lot slower than approaching traffic as it travels, the driver seemingly conscious of their heavy load.

Fortunately, it was just the shell of a greenhouse and no glass was attached at the time.

Since being uploaded yesterday, the video has been over 6,000 times and has received thousands of comments.

Davido J Gardner said: 'Imagine the image on the speeding ticket if he was speeding.

Sarah Harris commented: 'Took me a good twelve seconds to realise what the hell he was doing.'

Craig A Townsend posted: 'I think he got the wrong idea when he heard about cars trying to be more green.'

This is not the first time that people have been captured on film with unusual items attached to the roofs of their cars.

In August of last year, a man was caught on CCTV driving with another car secured to his roof.

He was subsequently fined £80 for the incident due to the car on roof being unsuitably secured.
