Does anyone know if removing of Mitsi standard fit W142 radio requires a code if the unit is put back in in some point?

Having googled W142 and also searched on ebay, all hits have come back saying that the stereo is a plug and play unit that doesn't require a code.

Thanks, I've found the same. However my idea to swap has been thwarted by non ISO connectors but thanks anyway.

Its not a problem, you can get get Mitsi > ISO adaptors.

Pulled the standard Mitsi fit radio from the lancer and popped in a Kenwood using one.

As Z says, but buy all your connections incl antenna adaptor if reqd online, whilst Halfords might be good for their sale offer head units (almost unbeatable when reserved online), they and other acessory shops overcharge for wiring kits, fascia adaptors etc.
