I know of someone that ordered a C class in the US earlier this year. It took ages to arrive and they got loaned a courtesy C class for quite some time.

The car arrived with some damage. The dealer tried several times to fix it and made it worse. Now they'd also paid extra for unlimited scratch/dent repairs as an add-on service. And yet the dealer could not sort out a minor issue with bodywork. They got a full refund. But this is the US.

They liked the car a lot. They might get a Tesla S instead - it was always on the list. If they get one with the insane mode I'll have to try it.
