 The High Peak - cosec
Hi, not posted for ages, but still lurk most days. I was visiting my firm's Manchester office on Monday for meetings and, as I was early, I stayed on the M1 up past Sheffield and took a left onto I think the A616 across the High Peak. Not a cloud in the sky, and I could not believe how extraordinary the scenery was. What an amazing road, I called my wife to tell her we really had to venture north of the Watford gap sometimes.

If you have not done the route, find a reason to go to Manchester and do it, you will not regret it (as long as it is 28 degrees and blue skies anyway lime it was on Monday).

Just thought I would mention it....

Yeah the weather is often like that up on the Pennines...

You are right though, very pretty in parts. Nearly as pretty as Scotland...
