I detest the way that the media now use Twitter as their sources.

So many stories around of x person did this and here is the reaction on Twitter about it.

I know journalism is pretty much dead now and it is all purely to get website hits and clicks but the whole lot is going down the tubes.

Twitter, Facebook and Youtube are now major sources of "news" for online news media. They employ young graduates on unpaid or low-paid internships to "research" and publish these stories. Some even dredge up "viral" videos that are a few years old to fill the space on the "videos" section of their websites.
