Ford stopped manufacturing in Australia recently and today the last Holden (GM) rolled off the line.

What a surprise - the Aussies fell out of love with big V6 sedans. The automotive equivalent of the last dinosaur. Won't be missed by many.

Be fun to see what they make of their new upcoming Holden: a re-badged Insignia!

I don't think the staff at Kia, Hyundai, Mazda or Toyota are losing any sleep down under.

I am sure they are not, the last time I was down under I had a good poke around a friend's KIA Cerato. Surprisingly similar under the skin to the KIA Ceed I owned at the time.
