My understanding is that the glass roof on the Model 3 is structurally significant - I suspect it does indeed add to chassis rigidity more than a tintop would (ignore the Tesla fanboy chatter!)

I think that the glass roofs (panoramic sunroofs) are part of the structure - The Volvo lacks one sadly. Seemed an awful collision, I wonder if it had run out of electricity.

A side point- why did Tesla make the indicators on these cars small single “dots” ? In an age of big LED indicators they do seem to not be in fitting with the technology.

No reason why glass in the roof wouldnt be, Windscreens have been used for structural rigidity for years,
