I really admire the detail that the reporter has gone into in this report.

I especially liked "We will remove cats, dogs, ducks (unless in water), muntjac deer, badgers, and foxes. We cannot remove hedgehogs or sheep.”

I didn't really believe this jobsworth thing still happens. A month ago Denbighshire County Council to re-surface a bit of road outside our house - cue lots of big trucks a gaggle of workers and a lot of noise. The They took a couple of days. I got a little cross with them when they parked the modern equivelent of a steam roller on my drive where splays to meet the lane. Anyway they’ll cleared off leaving behind a temporary sort of steel sign (looks brand new) and two pairs of gloves on a wall.

On Friday a council highways truck drove past, so I flagged the driver down and told him about the newish sign that had been left behind...."I'll report it when I get back" - Jeez....
