For the first time in a long while I've had to travel in rush hour and I was surprised how quiet the roads were today.
Has everyone taken the day off to enjoy the sun?

Most people are now retired, on long term sick, drug dealers, attending protests full time or working from home. Rush hour not really thing.

Was stuck in M25 rush hour traffic yesterday twice. 1 hour 30 minutes to do 38 miles.

Must just be Norwich then.

I bet you can count the 10 moving cars you saw in Norwich today on one foot... :-)
I'm not often out in rush hour time these days but was almost shocked a few weeks back just how busy (really busy!) the M25 was on a weekday around 7:30 am.

Unfortunate, you should repeat that.

The problem here is that is that 10 (Norwich) is 12 (Base10) :) - Other Formats exist.

Something I have oft wondered.
When people from Norwich put two fingers up to someone, how do they know which of their many fingers to choose?

Having used it, a lot, in my working life, I have oft used M25 traffic as a guide to how well the economy is doing, Quiet(er) rush hour traffic has given a 6 -12 month warning of an economic downturn. Busier, an upturn on the way. Its been remarkably accurate over 40 years.
This week, its average. Surprising really given the cost of fuel.
As far as the warning of impending fuel chaos goes, I still managed to stuff the tank from empty to full for less than 100 quid. I remember times when I couldnt.

As so many people today order stuff online instead of from a local store, I have wondered whether that increases or limits traffic, when there are couriers and Amazon vans doing the journeys instead ?

What's the average waiting time for a GP appointment these days?
