These competitions and the ones for the houses seem to be the latest "make a fortune quickly" businesses.
Even "local" radio seems to spend more advertising time advertising their text in competitions to win £3/4m than they do have actual adverts. I guess in this visual age, no one wants a radio advert that you can't really interact with, compared to a facebook or social media one that skims your details, has instant interaction etc!

Back in the summer a friend of mine entered one of these competitions, ticket was a tenner, he won a 60k motor home!
