One of my friends has just returned fron the USA, (los vegas to be exact), whilst there he apparently fell in love with a lady from the next state. New Mexico. Although only born in 1965, this "lady" is considered "old" but still manages her daily chores admirably and is in perfect health! - she is infact a Porche 356 coupe.

This old lass has spent her entire life in the dryer dessert climate, and even now my friend is making plans to ship her over here! - methinks this would be cruel, as she would probably corrode away rapidly in our damper atmosphere - what would you do, ship, or admire from afar?

I think this is just a typical holiday romance.

I would be be very concerned that she was just a gold-digger and would cost him much more than he imagines.

Will he be able to get a visa for her?

I would rather just have some photos and happy memories, and find a local girl who knows what life here is really like.

The 356 coupe looks like a squashed Beetle - he must be short-sighted!

I reclon she's just an old slapper: been round all the local lads at least twice.. probably clapped out.

You men are a fickle lot.

He obviously fell in love with her and it was love at first sight too.

They should be together forever.

Many years ago I bought a 1972 Karmann Ghia convertible originally registered in California but imported to the UK and converted to RHD. It was not a happy story and the car needed a whole new wiring loom. Would not go down that route again.

I'd rather a Karmann Ghia than a 356 anyway. This one has been tweaked a little but a very nice car.
