How did he get a job as a TV presenter? I've got nothing against regional accents so long as they're intelligible to people outside it.

I'll go see that, first i came across him was the link on here to iPlayer, "The Boat That Guy Built" or whatever it was called. Really likeable guy. Entertaining too.

Looked him up after watching that, i saw what he did to his face, ouch!

This should be a good watch.

Accents are brilliant, i hate the sterile BBC type. Give me a strong accent (except welsh!) any day of the week :-)

He is, a complete nutter, his enthusiasm is refreshing.

My wife likened him to the late lamented Dibnah - albeit a very fast Dibnah. He's been known in motorcycle sport circles for a while, he's not a media concoction, he's the real deal and very funny in a British sort of way.

I liked the "pinch of salt" in the baked beans!

Why do I think many TV 'real life' situations are driven by the crew behind the camera? Only a total ignoramus would put that much salt into any food.

As for trying to solder the tin with that soldering iron, I suspect only the flux was holding it in places and doubt if it was sealed.
