Travel to Europe - visas & ETIAS - smokie
I was reading about this this morning.

It was supposed to be from later this year but has been postposed till an undetermined date next, but visitors to the Schengen countries will need an ETIAS waiver to get in. It is expected to be about £6 for 3 years, or until passport expiry if sooner. It would over you for multiple stays of up to 3 months.

I believe you currently need a visa for stays over 90 days in any 180 days, but I can;t see if this will still be required - I think it will.

You can apply online

More info at www.etias.info/visa-requirements/uk-citizens/

It'll stop anyone decided to pop off on a jolly at short notice if they've not already got one, though if it's like the US ESTA system sometimes the process can be very quick.
