After a stressful few months..finally sold mothers house after the chain broke down 3 times, and a traumatic move from Care Home to Nursing Home.
Some cheap flights next week to Lanzarote & Fuerteventura where i need to fly & flop with books to read…best websites to find accommodation close to either airport, no car hire required, hotel preferable with B & B.
The few hotels i’ve emailed are all full !
Thanks in advance

Funnily enough, I am just doing the same.

Look on easyjet holidays tick the box for how flexible 1-2-2 days etc, adjust number of persons and board. Pick your preferred airports to fly from.

You can do the same on loveholidays but book direct yourself.
reviews of LH are not great. I use them to find but book elsewhere.

Trivago is excellent for looking, It's my go to normally,
And skyscanner for flights, then book direct, will also offer hotel rooms but also I book direct.

I usually use Booking.Com. Always found them efficient and reliable.

Any late availability wit Jet 2 holidays?

We're currently in an Ibis Budget hotel at Birmingham Airport pending an 07:30 departure to Tenerifr tomorrow - Jet 2 at Puerto de la Cruz.

Booked hotel here through Booking.com. Very basic but at £63 for the night it'll do.

Might have got a better rate using Accor's membership scheme which I have from using the Atlantic Tower in Liverpool various times down the years.

It was half-term here last week and may be in other places next week. That usually pushes up prices and availability.

Just got back from LBA having had a week in Costa Teguise (Lanzerote). I would say that it was not overly busy and not fully open. Mixed bag of weather 3 days good sunshine in Mid 20s then clouds and winds moved in. Generally better in the afternoon and in the late teens temp wise. A few families as its half term for some.

Been staying not far away in the lovely old town of Teguise for three weeks. Return today. Weather a bit of a mixed bag with some extremely high winds but also some very warm and sunny days. Not a fan of sitting by pools or on the beach so as long as it’s warmer than England I’m happy. Surfers down at Famara and La Santa are loving the sea conditions!

Stopped by Teguise for a wander and coffee on Friday on the way back from the volcanic Timanfaya National Park. We did the coach trip around the park which was impressive.
I believe the market at Teguise was cancelled due to the high winds.
No issue with passport control shenanigans yesterday afternoon.

That's three of us in the Canaries last week.

We were on Tenerife at Puerto de la Cruz. Well aware it was 'wrong' side of the island this early but we like the more verdant landscpae and it'd had been 24/7 sunshine for a while before we got there.

Like Fullchat it was glorious when we arrived Monday and also Tuesday. Wednesday started good but went downhill after lunch.

Using the hire car didn't find anythng better Thursday but the Ananga yesterday was brill.
