Once again Tim Martin has shown the rest of the licensed trade the way to do things properly. He has banned the use of mobile phones being played on speaker. Quite right too.
For good, well kept beer and and excellent menu all at reasonable prices go to Wetherspoons.

My usual, please. I am in The Coronation Hall, or The Moon Under The square.

I was in one at lunchtime. Did Tim say 'peaceful contemplation'? You couldn't have heard a phone loudspeaker on full volume over the background noise of loud conversations and screaming kids!
|
|
Then you should move to Surbiton.

You could probably still hear the kids from there! ;-)

Had to suffer screaming kids at 'Spoons in Haverfordwest on Saturday, made worse by the fact that the carnival had been on and the place was full of them. If parents insist on taking their offspring into pubs they should at least ensure they don't behave like little brats.
