Gordon Bennett Balloon Race - R.P.
I was in Greece when this took place and seemed to be in the middle of some extraordinary weather patterns.

You may recall a balloon went missing and was subject of a fruitless search.

Sadly buried deeply in the BBC News service today was this post-script.

At least they died doing what they loved and wanted to.

Thanks PU. Sometimes a story starts but you never hear the end. A sad end and one which was anticipated but it must come as some comfort to their family.

Thanks for posting the link PU.

We were sad when initial reports held little hope. Mrs F who is somewhat inolved with such things was amazed their control didn't have real time tracking to know a little better where they'd got to.

It will be a benefit for the families to have this completion with the capsule discovery.
