I saw Kerry Ellis in We Will Rock You a few years ago

Brilliant version on Welsh TV last week...guitarist is a bit ropey but he's their admin manager !

We stayed in a pub in Dumfries & Galloway many years ago. They did lock ins. Our room was over the bar. They only had Queen on the juke box it seemed and I can recognise ANY Queen song just from the bass :-(

That has always puzzled me too Chris. I've not yet heard a convincing reason for it either. However, I suppose some songs wouldn't really cut it in broad brummie or something...

For some reason I'm now trying to sing Elvis Presley songs in a randomly chosen South Yorkshire accent by way of an experiment. My wife seems puzzled by this but strangely unconcerned.
