I could have sworn I saw a documentary that bleated about her eccentricity partly because she was reclusive and partly because she married someone who had stalked her. There was something about having a high ranking Nazi ancestry too but that may have been the other one.

Wiki could easily have the wrong end of the stick, although there does seem to be a clear chronology of events.

She certainly went through a barmy phase, but I have the impression she has behaved more normally of late.
