How often should I remove unwanted cookies from my computer? I use CCleaner.

Never do it myself, too hard to distinguish between wanted and unwanted.

If performance ever gets so slow that I need to start think about doing that, it's time for a reload of the operating system.

CCleaner allows you to have a "wanted" list which you can update as and when necessary.

I don't see any cookies as wanted so I dump the lot most weeks.

dump them all from time to to time. Most of them you dont need anyway, and you shouldnt become reliant on them.
