 MSE - Skip
For the last 3 days when I have turned on the laptop the MSE icon has been orange saying that a scan is overdue and the computer may be unprotected. Running a scan turns it back to green, but the next day it has changed back to orange. Have tried quick and full scans. Any ideas ?

A quick google:

tinyurl.com/d3fgbyk - answers.microsoft.com

"Are you using CCleaner? Piriform has programmed it for some reason to remove part of the MSE History files and it's deleting the files MSE checks to determine the last time a scan was conducted.

Open CCleaner Applications Tab, Under Windows uncheck MS Antimalware...that should prevent CCleaner from deleting the MS Antimalware scanning history files."

Ahh that will be it then. I installed CCleaner so that I can remove the Telegraph cookie that restricts you to looking at 20 articles a month.

Cheers

Same problem here, incidence coinciding with MSE installation, now I come to think of it. Thanks for the lead, VxFan.
