 reformatting old pc - borasport
I have an old pc currently sat under the desk not being used, and the original XP disk that came with it.

I have a job for it that does not involve any of what is on it at the moment - what is the easiest/quickest way to wipe it and do a clean install ?

Perform whats called a "clean install"

During the clean install you will format the disk and wipe the old one clean.

All you need is your xp disk and the key.

If you have a folder with drivers on it copy that to a flash disk as it will save a lot of hassle later on.

probably best to get the latest ones from the web, after its done all the MS updates.

There will be lots of them.

Well the old hd is currently being formatted - bit of a sweat to ensure I was formatting the right pc - old and new connected by a KMV switch, wouldn't wont to wipe the wrong one.......

perhaps Friday the 13th is not the day to do this ?
