 BT Broadband Speed - Ambo
I complained in an earlier posting of my ridiculous 0.73 speed. Yesterday, after a 17-day tussle with BT, I got 15.40! This is chiefly down to replacing my obsolete Voyager 2500 router with a free new BTHub. It seems Voyager is no longer compatible with new exchange gear. I wonder why BT didn’t tell me?

See www.speedtes.net/ for your download, upload and Ping values. For a complete BT test, go to www.speedtester.bt.com/ This requires Java to be installed, free from www.java.com/.

Probably because, as one BT Openreach engineer who also undertakes broadband installations told me, the training given is not up to the required standard.

Didn't surprise me as he was very appreciative when I showed him how to access my modem router's configuration, including the live upstream and downstream figures, SNR etc. after he had cured my second noisy line in the last 25 to 30 years.
