The Wife's Colt has worn its clutch out in 34k miles likely due to nothing much but very short journeys and our reasonably hilly environs.
I had read some horror stories on the net about costs to 'do a clutch' on these with some punters apparently parting with up to 2k or indeed scraping the car. Some tales suggested that having to re-program ECU'S lifted the cost to a ridiculous amount.
I collected it yesterday from my small indie and have yet to receive the bill.
A virtual quart of the finest Ale to whoever gets nearest to it including the dreaded v.a.t.

So what's MD's guess because he doesn't seem to know either.
I can only assume it's not astronomical or he wouldn't have had the indy do it... My guess: £637.

I now have it and perhaps, Just perhaps I can’t afford to eat this week. A few more tries and I’ll reveal all. Well not all. Not in this weather!

85 Guineas ,plus purchase tax.

Someone did well. Exactly £500.00 including the dreaded!
However it would have been cheaper because initially they explored actuators etc., before the duff clutch was diagnosed. Anyway it works fine and I’m pleased, well as pleased as one can be being relieved of a Monkey.
