My BMW X1 is a 2016 model, came with a 5 year warranty and service pack (I bought secondf hand at 2 years old).
Ever since then I have paid for an annual BMW Extended warranty - its something like £350 a year (and has a £250 excess) but I just have that as piece of mind for anything major like electrics, idrive, gearbox etc.
And dealer serviced (which actually hasnt been pricey at all).
On a side note friend is looking to get a MG ZS+ hybrid and the 4th year service for that is dealer priced at over £900!
