Sooo, off we toddle last Monday, got a site booked at CAMC Sandringham. (been to the house b4 so it wasnt part of our todo list) but we dropped in to the shop for a nosy, found Sandringham Gin at 50 quid a 1/2 litre!!!!! No thanks - more of that later.
The CAMC site is great, visiting food vendors, fresh coffee stall, and from the back of our pitch an entry into the Sandringham Forest that doggy made full use of.
Went to Cromer for our obligatory Crab sarnie, Sherringham for a peek at the North Norfolk Railway, Sherringham once a completely unspoiled town that resisted Tesco for years. They lost and as expected the old traditional high street list of shops is starting to dwindle.
Went to NT Felbrigg Hall, a more uninspiring gloomy dusty old pile you will find anywhere. Avoid.
Went to Kings Lynn. Now my previous experience with KL is of a town with Primark, pound stretchers, two gregs, two costa's and a population of tattoed overweight undesirables - But I knew of the Hanseatic League, so sought out the bit of the old town with that history. Fabulous old part, had great tapas in Marriots Warehouse on the South Quay. And found the distilery that provides the Sandringham Gin. Had a sample, decided its not special enough.
We did Hunstanton, found a good pub for dinner in Dersingham,
Found a Better NT place, Oxburgh estate with some fab tapestries.
And then we to Plantation park between Norwich and Gt Yarmouth for a two. day dog show., Dinner at the Bridge Inn at Acle, and Fish and chips (quite good and cheap) in the second worse Seaside town in the UK - Gt Yarmouth.
But But But and here is the jewel in the crown, We did the RAF Radar and Air Defense Museum

Wow, what a fab site, sat in the large control room at a console desk each, and had a talk from a guy who worked there during the cold war. Left in 23c and arrived home to 31c.
