It's a compromise. No need to have 2 and 4-door models, lighter than a 4-door with half the convenience.
If they produce it in LHD and RHD with the doors on the appropriate sides, I suppose it means they have the ability to produce 2 and 4-door models.
Perhaps they have decided to produce 2, 3 and 4-door variants. Novel!
