I was very pleased to see that BMW have stuck with a conventional handbrake on the F30 3 series.
We had an electric parking brake on the Scenic. It worked well, but I just don't see where the value add is in exchange for all the additional complexity. It's not like a hill start is something most drivers struggle to perform for any period beyond their first handful of driving lessons.
