Unexpectedly I’m in the UK early September so thought I’d join my group to walk the 66 mile Diamond Way, 66 miles over 4 days using car shuttles/ minibus for the linear walks based at Blockley.
All couples aport from me…cheapest B & B I can find is £650 for 5 nights. Camping ruled out on this occasion, some of the prices on Booking.com are just about bearable if a couple…I hadn’t realised just how expensive accommodation is in that part of the world. Especially it being midweek mid september.

Later in the month i’m back at my favourite hotel in Ribadesella ( fancy hotel with outdoor pool) €165 for 3 nights B & B , then my usual 2* hotel in the Picos @ €40 B & B for several nights…I try to ignore the cost of sailing there :-)

I thought the Lake District was expensive, but at least I can find a sub £60 B & B
