On trains, last year missus and daughter traveled down to London for the weekend. Did the Martin Lewis thing of booking trains 12 weeks in advance.

Day before they were due to leave were told train was cancelled. But was being replaced by another train leaving at the same time but calling at one extra stop on the way.
Same for their return journey.
Not inconvenienced at all, submitted claims and got full refunds for both journeys!

Granddaughter returning from 4 weeks in Thailand was on the Overnight Sleeper from Euston to Edinburgh. She only had seat reservation not a cabin. Arrived some 4 hours late as it broke down in Cheshire. 2 Train changes later she made it Edinburgh and then home.

She did not make a claim but a reminder from me prompted her to act. Claimed on a Thursday and money in her Bank Tuesday. Somehow her £62 single yielded £100 refund each for her & her pal.

PS Her 4 weeks in Thailand - planes there & back on-time. Internal Flights, trains, ferries and buses were booked in advance and all were within minutes of the timetable.

UK return train 4 hours late but a quick refund.

They have been truly excellent with the work they have done for me on The S-Cross and advising on settings etc, even though I bought the car elsewhere (in a hurry)
Reception, service and sales staff all friendly and know their product.

***** rating from me...

Excellent Service - Quadlock (bathtub tom) : Non-motoring

Took the train to Falmouth back in July (wasn't going to do the M5 and A30 in July/August). Three of the four GWR trains were late/cancelled. Submitted delay/repay claim - it was rejected, correctly, as I'd made a fundamental mistake. Resubmitted the claim and that was rejected as the previous claim had been rejected. Contacted customer services, referring to transport comissioners, and - hey ho, they replied the next day, saying they'd asked delay/repay to review the claim (there's no dispute the trains were late and cancelled). Two days later, delay/repay state they'll refund what their website says I'm owed.

They immediately asked for a review, I'll wait until I see the money in my account.

Does that count as excellent service? ; >)

Back in Feb 2024 I bought a Quadlock case and handlebar mount for my iPhone. Sturdy bit of kit but was around £60.
Fast forward to last week when in Nice and phone is in my “bumbag” with my sunglasses case when I kneel down to tie my shoelace and I hear a crack.
Check and my phone case has warped though the phone is fine.

When we stop for a beer I check back my emails and see that it was well over 2 years ago that I ordered it online from them. However I reply to the email on the original invoice asking them if there is anything they can do.

They reply 4 mins (yip) later asking for order number and photos. I take a photo and reply, and a further 5 mins lapsed before they replied apologising and saying they would send a new one out.

This was all done before my beer arrived!

And the following day the new case was delivered!

Fantastic customer service in my eyes, delivering well over and above what might be expected!

Anyone else had such levels of customer service?
