I don't think so, just pricing/market segmentation would be my guess. We sell the Duracell Industrial ones in the village shop (the branding is now being changed to Procell I think, probably because consumers have started buying them in quantities).

I use quite a lot of AA. I either buy Costco ones, or if I run out between trips I order Amazon Basics or GP from Amazon sellers. Up to 30p each usually. Currently you can get 60 Kodak branded ones for £13 or so. Not tried them.
